Masseter Botox Treatment
What Masseter Botox can help with:
Masseter Botox can be used to treat the following concerns and medical conditions:
Jawline slimming
Teeth grinding
Jaw clenching
Associated migraines
Jaw pain
The masseter muscles are located on the side of the jaw, they are the ones you can feel when you clench your jaw. The masseter muscle is one of the 4 muscles used to assist in chewing. In some people, these muscles can be overwork these muscles by continuous jaw clenching and teeth griding. As a result the muscle can become overly strong and bulky, creating jaw pain, migraines and a more masculine appearance to the face.
By relaxing this muscle with Botox we can reduce some of the tension associated with the overuse of the muscle and consequently decrease the muscle size.
The aesthetic effect of this is a slimmer more contoured jawline which lasts around 6 months. Masseter Botox requires ongoing treatment every 6-12 months.
